¶1. Garry C. Eskridge appeals from a judgment of conviction based on a warrantless search of a common area located in the basement of a four-unit apartment building in which he resided. On appeal, he claims that he had a reasonable expectation of privacy and that the evidence was seized in violation of his rights under the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution.*fn1 We disagree. Therefore, we affirm.
